Join Discover FCC
Discover
FCC is offered to all new attendees at First Christian as a
way for you to get to know us and others in the church, as
well as for us to get to know you. This class is
offered one Sunday afternoon each month following our second
worship service from 12:15 - 1:30pm in room #11 downstairs.
This is an opportunity to have "Pizza with the Preacher"
and is an introduction to the life and ministry of First
Christian hosted by our Lead Minister, Scott Hultgren. As
the name implies, pizza is provided! "Discover FCC"
talks specifically about how you can take the next steps in
your involvement with First Christian Church. Nursery and
childcare are available through 6th grade. The next
Discover FCC class will be held
Sunday, March 4. Please indicate you would
like to attend by marking the attendance slip in the
bulletin or call the church office at 342-5707. We
look forward to seeing you!
Simulcast Event: Love Costs Everything
Wednesday, March 7 at 7pm, in the First Christian Church
Auditorium, we will be showing the critically acclaimed
documentary film "Love Costs Everything" with an important
message from Francis Chan and experts on the subject of the
persecuted church. Persecution is a reality for nearly
two hundred million Christians around the world.
Daily, they risk their lives simply because they believe in
Jesus. They could surrender, convert or quit, but the
love of Jesus is worth the sacrifice. For many of
them, this road leads to death. Please join us for
this important, informational and life-changing documentary.
Courageous Bible Study
FCC will begin a
12 week adult Bible Study -Honor Begins at Home, based on
the movie "Courageous" starting Sunday, February 5 at 9am in
the Church Annex Classroom. This study will help men
and women prepare to leave a legacy of faithfulness for
their children and for generations to come. Parents and
Grandparents are welcome to join this class lead by Patrick
and Cynthia Clinch. The class is being offered for
free by our church, but is limited to twenty individuals.
Hope Center Donations
We will be collecting donations for the
Hope Center as an on-going part of our CSI
projects. Items they are in need of
include: Toothpaste, Toothbrushes, Deodorant, Warm
Socks (men's), Stamps, and Phone Cards. We will take
the items over as we receive them. Please leave your
donations in the bin marked in the church foyer, and thank
you for your generosity in filling a need for our community!
